Coaching / Consulting

Reach your publishing goals with personalized coaching and an occasional uplifting cat picture.

Publishing is one tough industry, especially for novice writers. The expectations of publishers, agents, and readers aren’t always easy to pinpoint when you’re new to the business. Never mind about writer’s block, grammar, and that cursed Oxford comma!

I am here to help you push through writer’s block, learn the ins and outs of self-publishing, assist with editing and design, and be your cheerleader to keep you going! Whether you are a first-time author or a seasoned professional, the road to publishing is easier with a helping hand.

My book publishing journey began long, long ago, and I have picked up a lot of insight along the way that I love to share with my clients! With over twenty published books and an MS in publishing, I definitely fall into the category of book nerd.

Whether you are a novice writer or someone who has been through the usual ups and downs of publishing, I am here to help make your journey from the first draft to the final publication easier.

I’d love to work with you to make your publishing dreams come true!

As an aspiring, unpublished author, Marci’s review, suggestions, and direction of my work has been most helpful. Her knowledge, insight, and professionalism have encouraged me to complete my effort.

Developmental Editing

Once you have a completed first draft, you’ll need a developmental edit to help you round out the characters, story, and overall flow of your manuscript. This is a crucial step to polishing your first draft and making it ready for self-publishing or submitting to your dream agent/publisher.

I have years of experience as an author and an editor. I’m happy to help you on take an objective look at your work and help you make it the best manuscript possible.

While I will make suggestions that I feel make your manuscript the best version, I will never force changes or alter your voice. However, I will be clear if I feel there are significant issues that could impact your book’s success.

She’s not afraid to pin me down with character development issues and make suggestions on how to work myself out of a corner.
